About the Project

PROPOSAL

The Learning Enrichment Foundation (LEF) has been part of the Mount Dennis neighbourhood community for over 40 years. Recently, LEF purchased three properties on Weston Road, at 1240, 1246 and 1250 with hopes to redevelop and one day call our new home.

Expanding on our holistic approach to include housing and offering services in a location more central to the neighbourhood has been a long-time goal for LEF. This new location long Weston Road makes LEF's services accessible by foot and by public transit, and gives access to a number of local services. The neighbouring site will be home to a city run daycare centre, offering 99 new childcare spots.

The Mount Dennis Quilt creates an opportunity for LEF to better serve the community by increasing the number of local affordable housing rental units, providing much-needed community support services, and offering dynamic community spaces that reflect the true vitality of Mount Dennis.
